So what do these professionals really want this week? According to surveys published by the International Association of Administrative Professionals and others, they want recognition and growth opportunities over flowers and lunch. What shows great appreciation from a boss is verbal, written and broadcast acknowledgement of the assistant's hard work and an investment in their leadership skills and career development. Being able to attend training programs, conferences and seminars is a boost for them and adds more value to what they do for their companies.
